At Treetop, we provide a variety of programs...
Our Full Day Preschool program offers a comprehensive early learning experience for children, combining play, hands-on activities, and child-centered learning. Children develop social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills while exploring their curiosity and creativity in a supportive setting.
Our Kindergarten Before and After-School program provides safe, structured care outside of regular school hours. Children enjoy enrichment activities, play, and social interaction while being supported by our experienced educators.
Designed for school-aged children, this program offers supervised care, homework support, and engaging activities before and after school. Children have opportunities for play, creativity, and social interaction in a safe environment.
Our Summer Camp program is an optional, fun-filled experience for Kindergarten and School Age groups during July and August. Campers enjoy exciting activities, outdoor play, field trips, and creative projects that foster learning, independence, and friendships.
Treetop operates twelve months of the year, providing consistent care for families.
Kindergarten and School Age groups have optional Summer Camps in July and August
We are committed to providing an environment that is safe which promotes the wellness of each child through nutrition and developmentally appropriate activities. All programs include the following daily activities:
Activities that encourage thinking, problem-solving, and understanding the world around them.
Opportunities for children to express themselves through art, music, and creativity.
Exploration of the natural world through observation, discovery, and hands-on experiences.
Engaging the senses to support learning through touch, sight, sound, and movement.
Building communication skills through stories, conversation, and early reading activities.
Activities that develop strength, coordination, and movement through active play.
Imaginative play that helps children explore roles, emotions, and social interactions.
Hands-on building activities that develop creativity, spatial awareness, and problem-solving skills.
Treetop's programming is based on the Emergent Curriculum philosophy and guided by the "How Does Learning Happen" framework, Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years. Our comprehensive program is play-based, responsive to each child's interests, and designed to support their individual development.
Our RECE educators create programs based on the interests and abilities of the children. There are no pre-planned workbooks or rigid planning binders; learning emerges naturally through collaboration, conversations, and open-ended questions. Topics and activities are paced according to children's curiosity, not a calendar, allowing educators to seize teachable moments and adapt experiences in real time.
Children participate in a variety of indoor and outdoor play, hands-on experiences, excursions, special events, and community interactions. Through exploration, creativity, and discovery, children develop social, emotional, cognitive, language, and motor skills while enjoying meaningful learning experiences.
We foster a safe, welcoming, and culturally diverse space where learning is both enjoyable and rewarding. Emphasis is placed on independence, responsibility, exploration, and discovery, and parent involvement is strongly encouraged, as we see childcare as an extension of the family environment.
Since 2015, our staff have been trained in the Early Learning Framework (ELF) and integrate the Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT) framework across preschool, kindergarten, and school-age classrooms. These frameworks guide how children learn and develop, supporting the achievement of social, intellectual, physical, and emotional potential.
The ELECT framework emphasizes six core principles:
